Privacy Policy
What happens to your data when you use Tickerbook. The short version: very little, and nothing is sold or used for advertising.
Effective 21 October 2026. Last reviewed 21 October 2026.
Who we are
This site is published by Tickerbook ("we"). You can reach us at [email protected] about anything in this policy.
Information you give us
If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and the content of your message. We use it only to reply and to fix what you report, and we keep it for up to 24 months unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
Information collected automatically
Like any website, our hosting provider's servers record basic request logs: IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser type and the referring page. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure and are deleted after no more than 30 days.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
We set no cookies. We use no analytics, no advertising or remarketing tags, no social media plugins and no tracking pixels. Because there is nothing to consent to, there is no cookie banner. See the cookie statement.
Storage in your browser
The site stores two kinds of information in your browser's own storage, never in a cookie and never sent to us: your light or dark theme choice (localStorage, until you clear it), and a copy of the latest market data for up to 60 seconds (sessionStorage, cleared when you close the tab). Both are strictly necessary to provide what you asked for.
Market data requests to CoinGecko
To show live prices, your browser requests data directly from the CoinGecko API at api.coingecko.com. Like any web server, CoinGecko receives your IP address and browser information with each request. We do not send CoinGecko any other information about you. CoinGecko's handling of that data is covered by its own privacy policy, available on coingecko.com.
Legal bases
For visitors in the UK and the European Economic Area, we process server logs under our legitimate interest in running a secure website, and email correspondence under our legitimate interest in answering you.
International transfers
Our hosting provider and CoinGecko may process data outside your country. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers put in place, such as standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to its use, to data portability and to complain to a data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office). Email us to use any of these rights; we will respond within one month.
Selling and sharing
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS with a strict content security policy and loads no third-party scripts.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the dates at the top of this page. If we ever add analytics or advertising, this policy and the cookie statement will change at the same time, before anything is switched on.
